PDC Brush installed two compactors to reduce its ecological footprint. CO2 emissions are lower as a result because the compactors drastically reduce the number of lorry journeys to and from the recycling park.

The compactors are also more ergonomic. Dustbins are now automatically emptied into the compactor whereas this was done manually in the past.

PDC Brush is leasing the compactors but hopes to acquire two of its own later this year.
